- What is PB Noir?
- PB Noir is the short name of Photo Book Noir, an AI photo book and album maker app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It turns a large photo collection into a finished photo book that you can print with any service or share as a PDF.
- How do I make a photo book from thousands of photos?
- Import your photos, from several folders at once if you like, and run Auto Stage. It groups the photos and drafts the pages with AI, in chronological order. Then keep what you like and change the rest: layouts, collages, covers, filters and captions.
- What kinds of photo books can I make?
- Any book made from your own photos: wedding and anniversary albums, travel photo books, baby photo books, family yearbooks, gifts and scrapbooks. Auto Stage keeps the photos in the order they were taken, so it suits books that tell a story, like a wedding day, a long trip or a baby's first year.
- Are my photos uploaded to the cloud?
- No. Your photos stay on your device. When you run an AI feature such as Auto Stage, the app sends limited metadata about the selected photos, such as file names, dimensions, capture dates and captions, to plan the pages. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is sent.
- Can I print my photo book anywhere?
- Yes. Export your book as a high-quality PDF or as JPG files and print it with the print shop or online service you prefer. You are never tied to one shop.
- Can I make a photo book on my Mac?
- Yes. Photo Book Noir is a Mac app as well as an iPhone and iPad app, so you can lay out your book on a large screen. Apple stopped printing books from the Photos app in 2018; here you export a PDF and print it wherever you like.
- Is Photo Book Noir free?
- Photo Book Noir is free to download from the App Store. Auto Stage uses AI credits, which are available as in-app purchases.
- Which devices does it run on?
- Photo Book Noir runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18.5 or later, and on Mac with macOS 15 or later.
